Decisions which are considered strategic in nature are classified as key decisions. The definition of a key decisions is set out in the Constitution. If a decision falls within the definition of a key decisions, the council publishes a Forward Plan Notice in advance. This confirms the intention to make such a decision and provides the opportunity for the community to contribute to the proposal.
