New film brings region's growth ambitions to life.

An aspirational new film has been launched to show how Hull and East Yorkshire’s Local Growth Plan could help shape the region’s future.

The 6-minute film brings to life the area’s ambition to become a nationally and internationally recognised place for investment and opportunity.

It highlights the scale of the opportunity across the whole region, from the Humber Freeport sites in Hull and Goole, to the regeneration of Hull’s Western Docklands, the long-term potential of Bridlington Bay.

On Friday, the Mayor will show the video at The Business Day in Bridlington, giving attendees the chance to learn about his plan for growth.

Luke Campbell MBE, Mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire, said:

“Our Local Growth Plan is about turning ambition into good jobs, stronger businesses and real opportunities for local people.”

“This film shows the scale of what we can achieve. Hull and East Yorkshire is open for business and ready to deliver.”

The Local Growth Plan marks a major step in Hull and East Yorkshire’s devolution journey, giving the region a single, shared economic strategy and a stronger voice when competing for funding, jobs and private sector investment.

Built around four ‘Big Plays’, the plan focuses on powering the region’s industrial future, backing local businesses, building skills and good work, and connecting and enabling growth.

The Combined Authority will use the plan to guide investment, partnership working and economic delivery over the coming decade.
