Connect To Work is a new employment support programme delivered across Hull and East Yorkshire. It provides personalised, practical support to help local people find, keep and progress in work.

The programme is designed for people who are out of work due to health conditions, disability or other barriers, as well as those who are currently in work but need support to remain in employment. Connect To Work offers tailored, one to one guidance from a dedicated Employment Specialist who works alongside individuals to understand their goals, strengths and support needs.

Support is based on proven Supported Employment models and focuses on helping people secure competitive jobs in the open labour market. This means real jobs, with real employers, paid at normal market rates. The service also works closely with local employers to promote inclusive recruitment and provide ongoing support where needed to help people sustain employment.

Connect To Work is part of the national government’s drive to reduce economic inactivity and improve health and wellbeing through work. In Hull and East Yorkshire, the programme is led by the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority in partnership.
